Dark and murky, and yet unexpectedly beautiful, Pond Scum is dyed with colors that refuse to blend completely.
Deep charcoal, olive, moss, muddy gold, and smoky gray swirl together in layers of earthy, shadowed color, with flashes of pale gray and yellow-green breaking through. The result is reminiscent of sunlight catching the surface of a murky pond. It is unruly, and we love it for that.

Hand-dyed in small batches, each skein will have its own unique distribution of color, speckles, and tonal variation.
Due to the nature of hand-dyed yarn, color and speckle placement will vary from skein to skein.
Color Bleed Disclaimer: Hand-dyed yarn may release excess dye, particularly during the first few washes. We recommend washing your finished project separately in cool water with a wool-safe detergent until the water runs clear. Some color transfer may occur, especially with highly saturated or contrasting colors.
